About the Electric Motors in the Catalogue

This section includes asynchronous electric motors with power ratings from 75 to 1250 kW and rotational speeds of 750, 1500 and 3000 rpm. Power, rotational speed and motor type are stated according to GALARIS inventory records.

Most items belong to high-voltage series. According to manufacturers’ data, motors of the same power rating in such series are produced for different voltages — 3000, 6000 or 10000 V — and in different climatic versions. The voltage of each unit is not stated in the inventory records and is to be confirmed from the nameplate. Before submitting a request, check the voltage of your power supply network.

An explosion-proof version is indicated in the card only as a series characteristic per reference data. For example, according to the technical catalogue, the VAO2 series is produced with the explosion protection marking 1ExdIIBT4, 2ExdIICT5 or RV-4V (ExdI), depending on the version. The applicability of a specific motor in a hazardous area is determined only by the marking on its nameplate and the explosion protection documents.

The IP degree of protection, cooling method and mounting arrangement also depend on the series and frame size. Where the series is confirmed by the manufacturer’s catalogue, these data are given in the reference block with a reference to the source.
