About the Gearboxes in the Catalogue
This section includes gearboxes for beam pumping units of standard sizes SK6 and SK8. Per GOST 5866-76, beam pumping units serve as an individual mechanical drive for downhole sucker-rod pumps in artificial-lift oil production.
The designation of a beam pumping unit under the standard includes the maximum permissible load on the polished rod, the maximum stroke length and the maximum torque on the gearbox output shaft. For SK6, the standard gives the standard size SK6-2.1-2500; for SK8, SK8-3.5-4000 and SK8-3.5-5600. The last number is the permissible torque in kgf·m, which determines the choice of gearbox.
Per GOST 5866-76, gearboxes of beam pumping units (except SK2 and SK3) are of a two-stage design with a herringbone gear train with Novikov gearing. The gearbox reduces the rotational speed of the electric motor, and the cranks of the beam pumping unit are mounted on its output shaft.
The gearbox make, gear ratio and permissible torque of the items in stock are not stated in the inventory records and are to be confirmed from the nameplate and data sheet. In your request, state the standard size of your beam pumping unit, the required torque and gear ratio, and, in the case of a replacement, the make of the existing gearbox.
